P'tit croquis : Traversée d'Espagne
Pas vraiment la disponibilité de peindre de grands formats durant les vacances scolaires alors j'en profite pour retravailler les bases.
Je me suis amusée à faire plein de petites vignettes (5 x 7 cm) à partir d'une photo prise sur le trajet des vacances et même un petit essai à la gouache. En fait cet exercice ouvre grand la porte de l'imagination et même si la petite aquarelle (10 x 28 cm) réalisée reste encore très proche de la photo, plein de possibilités de traitement de ce thème simple apparaissent.

I do not often find the availability to paint large format during the school holidays so I take advantage to rework the bases.

Biarritz plage
Cela fait presque 2 semaines que je suis rentrée de mon congé Portugais et ici le soleil est parti en vacances aussi, alors pour palier au manque de soleil et faire abstraction du mauvais temps quoi de mieux que de reprendre ses photos prises en juillet et de faire venir le soleil en aquarelle.
D'après un cliché pris lors de notre étape à Biarritz sur le chemin des vacances :
It has been almost two weeks I got back from my Portuguese vacation and here the sun is on holiday too, so to overcome the lack of sun and ignore the bad weather, there is nothing better than to get my photos taken in July and to bring the sun in watercolor.

P'tit croquis : Dalton highway
Bill Guffey nous invite ce mois à nous promener en Alaska, entre Fairbanks et Prudhoe Bay et comme j'ai une grosse envie d'essayer cette craie graphite aquarellable toute neuve, c'est l'occasion de tenter un croquis et d'observer ce qui se passe sur le papier.

Les Hortensias de Charlot
Bonjour chers lecteurs, me voici de retour de mes vacances avec une aquarelle réalisée sous le soleil Portugais.
Quelle surprise lors de mon premier séjour il y a 2 ans d'y trouver autant d'hortensias ... je n'ai pu résister à l'envie de peindre ceux du camping dans lequel j'ai résidé ce mois de juillet.
J'ai offert cette aquarelle à Charlot, la propriétaire, pour la remercier, elle et sa famille, de leur accueil si chaleureux et amical. Si vous passez par Viseu, faites donc une petite escale au "Grande Chave" près de Satao, détente, et tranquilité dans un environnement verdoyant vous attendent.

I offered this watercolor to Charlot, the owner, to thank her and her family for their warm and friendly welcome. If you go through Viseu, so make a stop at "Grande Chave" near Satao, relaxation and tranquility in a green environment await you.
