Etude de drapé

L'ombre, la lumière, les valeurs tout ce qui est important en peinture se retrouve dans cet exercice de drapé. J'ai voulu m'y essayer, par curiosité et pour y travailler ma vision d'après la très belle photo proposée en challenge sur Rookiepainter.
La prochaine étape, réaliser un drapé d'après nature, quand le timide soleil aura fini de jouer avec les gros nuages noirs qui se succèdent ...

The shadow, light, values, ​​all that is important in painting, is found in the draped exercise. I wanted to try out of curiosity and to work my vision from the very nice picture proposed by Rookiepainter challenge.

The next step, make a draped from life, when the shy sun has finished playing with the big black clouds which follow one after the other ...

Etude des maîtres du passé: d'après Sargent

Prenant le prétexte d'essayer mes nouveaux crayons Derwent, j'ai tenté un portrait de J S Sargent en trois couleurs (Brown ochre, Sepia et Chocolate) sur un bout de papier (Canson edition colori froment) qui trainait sur mon bureau :
